I HAVE A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN ENGLISH, and I thought that I wanted to teach. I did some substitute teaching in Junior High School in the St. Louis area, and the battles I fight here are nothing compared to the battles that you fight there.

After doing that, teachers have my respect; that's a pretty hard profession. I've got a physical presence and I could get the kid's attention, but it's just changed so much since I was a kid. Back then, we showed respect to our teachers. And unfortunately in a lot of situations now, TEACHERS DON'T HAVE THE SUPPORT OF THE PARENTS THAT THEY NEED. So if I wasn't doing this, I don't think I'd be teaching.

I'll wrestle until it's not fun anymore. I'm not an extremely young guy, like some of these guys now who are going to be here for another 10 years. So I've had some thoughts about what I want to do. It's just a matter of researching and finding out what's right for me.

Change is hard for everybody. When I think about being out of the business, it scares me. I think the thing that I'm going to miss the most are some of the bonds that I've made with people. Our locker room has really changed over the years to where now it's a great group of guys that we have. I'll miss that and -- I'm not going to lie -- I'll miss going out there and performing.

The performance aspect of this is the most fun. No question. I'll miss going out in that arena. And I'll miss the guys backstage.

I'm a pretty private person when I'm away from this. To not be in the spotlight doesn't bother me at all -- I mean, for God sakes, I wear a mask when I perform. I have enough self-esteem -- and I think most of the guys here are like this -- that I know I'm a pretty decent person even if people don't recognize me walking down the street. Actually, wearing a mask has it's advantages. Out in public, I can sort of slide through a lot of places. The only times that people pick up that I'm a wrestler is when I'm with a group of the guys.
