It's not often that the WWE's Kane is dwarfed in the
ring; standing a full 7 feet tall and weighing
326 pounds, he's literally one of the company's biggest superstars.
But on Sunday, Kane faces The Great Khali, who stands 7-foot-3 and weighs 420 pounds. With those two monsters squaring off -- put it this way -- let's hope that ring is reinforced.
Kane spoke to us last month from Los Angeles, and sang the praises of WWE
Hall of Fame Class of 2007 inductee Jim Ross.
Outside of the ring, what do you like to do?
I don't really have any hobbies.
Is wrestling all-occupying?
It's not all-occupying, but I don't have anything that people would be interested in, let me put it that way.
Cooking? No, I'm not a cooker.
Movies? You a horror movie guy?
Yeah, I like horror movies. But really, I just take it easy.
What is your dream match up? Has it already happened?
I think one would be at WrestleMania, with Undertaker. And I think another dream would be to one day wrestle Hulk Hogan. He's the icon in our business.
What do you consider your career highlight?
Winning the WWE championship at King of the Ring against Stone Cold Steve Austin.
What was that like?
It was awesome. On that particular day, you're everything. You're the man.
Complete this sentence: If it weren't for ___, I wouldn't be here today.
If it weren't for Jim Ross. When I met him, he was doing color commentary for Jim Cornette who had a small promotion in Tennessee. Also at the time, he was coming back into the WWE, and he's the guy who discovered me, if you will.
What does WrestleMania mean to you?
It's the highlight of the year for us, and we build the whole year around that particular night. That's when everybody wants to put on the best show they possibly can. It's an important night for us, and all of us are trying to perform at our highest level.
