SEE NO EVIL: Read Some Evil
August 26, 2005 Fangoria.com
Fans
of the WWE wrestler Kane who’ve been waiting for his horror-film
vehicle SEE NO EVIL (formerly GOODNIGHT) now seem to have a date to look
forward to: March 2006, which is when World Wrestling Entertainment Books
and Simon & Schuster
publish the novelization by Dan Madigan (who also scripted), presumably to
tie in with Lions Gate’s theatrical release. The cover art at left is
temporary (obviously, as it includes the old title), and the publisher also
offers the following synopsis: “Seven feet tall. Four hundred pounds. With
a rusty steel plate screwed into his skull and razor-sharp fingernails that
pluck out his victims’ eyes. Reclusive psychopath Jacob Goodnight is holed
up in the long-abandoned Blackwell Hotel, alone with his nightmares until
eight petty criminals show up for community service duty…along with the
cop who put a bullet in Jacob’s head four years ago.” The Australia-lensed
movie, directed by former adult filmmaker Gregory Dark, also stars Steven
(’SALEM’S LOT) Vidler, Glenn Jacobs, Michael J. Pagan, Samantha Noble,
Christina Vidal and Craig Horner. Watch for a set report in Fango next year.
